A2. You can use a screen protector with the iPad Pro case. To ensure the case closes properly with the Apple Magic Keyboard, the screen protector for iPad Pro cases cannot be thicker than 0.35mm.
Q3. Is the iPad Pro 2024 (M4) compatible with the Magic Keyboard?
A3. Yes, the iPad Pro 2024 (M4) case is compatible with the Magic Keyboard! The case has built-in magnets in the same position as the device, allowing it to attach and connect seamlessly with the Magic Keyboard. However, because the new Magic Keyboard for iPad Pro (2024) is designed to provide a perfect fit for the naked device, the space around its hinge is very limited. Even though we've made the iPad Pro case as slim as possible, it may cause the Magic Keyboard to not close perfectly in certain situations. 1. When the Magic Keyboard lies flat on the desk, it will close seamlessly with the case on. 2. When you close the Magic Keyboard and stand it upright (for example in a bag), there might be a slight gap in it. But don't worry, an elastic strap will be included in the package to help secure it snugly. Rest assured, our tests confirm it won't cause any damage to your Magic Keyboard, iPad, or case.

Having purchased Pitaka cases for my iPhone, AirPods, M1 iPad Pro I’ve been more than happy with the look, feel, fir & function of these cases. So when I got my M4 iPad Pro, purchasing a Pitaka case was a no brainer.
I unfortunately missed the first release so when I got my M4 Pro they were out of stock. But when alerted they were back in stock I ordered the MagEZ 2 immediately. It arrived in Australia very quickly (as all my previous Pitaka orders have). I loved the plain weave look as opposed to the twill on my other cases….same feel but subtly different. The fit was easy, perfect & satisfyingly secure. Buttons, mic, speaker & charging ports line up perfectly. When connected to my Magic Keyboard, there were absolutely no issues with function of the keyboard & the Pencil Pro connects & charges with zero issues.
I have a screen protector and the MagEZ 2 case on my iPad Pro and have absolutely none of the issues concerning improper closure of the keyboard.
Great case & will not hesitate to purchase from Pitaka for future devices 👌💪❤️
This iPad protector is amazing. Fits well. What I love most is that I can keep it on; it attaches nicely to my Magic Keyboard and still charges.

Some complain about it not closing properly, but I guess it depends on your set up
Yes when vertical it doesn’t close all the way. But I also purchased the Pitaka FlipBook Case. So the magnetic handles stop it from opening anyways. And horizontally, the weight of the iPad (and the FlibBook case), make it close all the way and that’s all that matters
If you want to get technical about it (and I provided pictures with arrows), the two bottom clips on each side are what don’t allow the case to close fully vertically (or horizontally if there isn’t enough weight). This is because they’re 0.8mm thick
If they move those clips then maybe it would resolve that, but then maybe the case wouldn’t be as snug or it would have a higher potential of popping off
Pitaka is aware of this, but I’m sure they have their reasons for this design. The new slimmer profile of the M4 Magic Keyboard is what caused this issue to pop up as the older generation didn’t have this issue with the case, and designing around it can be complicated
In the future they could come out with a version where the move those clips or switch up the lay out of the clips, or even remove those 2 clips completely and just add a thin layer of PU Gel Pads (this is what they use for the FlipBook Case to stick to the Magic Keyboard) towards the bottom open ended part of the case so it stays snug and doesn’t slide or pop off
Writing that now, I might actually do a DIY version of this 😅
But either way I don’t regret my purchase. Especially since the FlipBook Case resolves most of the“issues”
Plus, I got a free Pencil Holder Elastic Band which was a cool surprise
