Technical Principle
Amber Magnet Film™, or MagSafe SlimBoard™ Module 2.0, is a groundbreaking glue-free magnet coating technology. It employs a unique coating process to form a coating on the surface of magnets. Under high temperatures and high pressure, the coating melds with aramid fiber shell and resin, completely encasing the magnets like amber.
Technical Features
Thinner Structure
Made with the advanced MagSafe SlimBoard™ Module 2.0, the MagSafe ring flawlessly merges with the phone case, resulting in a thinner structure of just two layers. Remarkably, the phone case weighs a mere 12.1g and measures a sleek 0.69mm in thickness*, making it an impressive 27% thinner compared to its previous generation.
*Data is obtained from PITAKA laboratory tests using an iPhone 15 Pro case as the sample. There may be deviations due to variables.
Visible MagSafe Ring
The MagSafe ring is completely enveloped like amber. It is visible but will not scratch the back of your phone.
Glue-free Processing
The phone case is integrally molded by integrating the magnets with aramid fiber and resin. In this way, the magnets will stay intact and secure, making the phone case safer and eco-friendly.
Available Products
The Amber Magnet Film™ technology has been applied to PITAKA's MagEZ Case 5 aramid fiber phone cases, compatible with the iPhone 15 series. Currently, the released designs in the MagEZ Case 5 series include Sunset·Moonrise and Break the Line.
We will expand our product range by utilizing the advanced MagSafe SlimBoard™ Module 2.0 and continually upgrading our technology to enhance the customer experience.
Technological Development
In 2016, based on magnetic attachment, PITAKA started building the PITAKA MagEZ ecosystem and successfully released the world's first magnetic aramid fiber phone cases, the MagEZ Case for Phones.
From 2016 to 2020, the MagEZ 1.0 utilized crescent-shaped magnetic sheets and modules to create a range of products within the magnetic ecosystem.
In 2020, Apple introduced the iPhone 12 series with MagSafe technology. To ensure compatibility with this new system, PITAKA upgraded the MagEZ 1.0 to the MagEZ 2.0 by incorporating magnet arrays of the MagSafe ring.
Product Expansion: PITAKA expanded the product range from the MagSafe aramid fiber phone case to the MagSafe car phone mount, MagSafe card sleeve, MagSafe wireless charger, and MagSafe iPad stand, etc., building a seamless PITAKA MagEZ ecosystem.
In 2022, PITAKA released the MagSafe SlimBoard™ Module 1.0 to create thinner and lighter MagSafe aramid fiber phone cases, providing a simple and smooth user experience through magnetic attachment.
In 2023, PITAKA took another leap forward in the electronics industry. We developed the MagSafe SlimBoard™ Module 2.0, also called Amber Magnet Film™, and applied this technology to the MagEZ Case 5 aramid fiber phone cases for the first time.
